Payment, refunds and payment security
This page describes how to pay for GoUzbekistan services, how refunds are made, how 3-D Secure protects card payments, and the measures we apply with the bank to limit and control the risk of fraudulent transactions. It is part of the Public Offer.
1. Payment methods
- Bank cards online: Visa, Mastercard (international payment systems) and UzCard, Humo (national payment systems). Payment is made on the secure payment page of the acquiring bank, JSC “Uzum Bank”.
- Bank transfer for legal entities and travel agencies — under an invoice or agency agreement.
2. How to pay by card
- After we confirm availability, you receive a booking confirmation and a payment link (or press “Pay” on the website).
- You are redirected to the bank’s secure payment page (HTTPS). Enter the card number, expiry date, cardholder name and CVV/CVC code.
- Confirm the payment with 3-D Secure: a code from your bank (SMS or banking app) for Visa and Mastercard, or a one-time SMS code (OTP) for UzCard and Humo.
- After successful payment you see a confirmation page and receive an e-mail; the booking status changes to “Paid”.
Card payments are charged in Uzbek soums (UZS). If the price is shown in USD or another currency, it is converted at the Central Bank of Uzbekistan rate on the day of payment; your bank may apply its own conversion rate and fees.
3. 3-D Secure and data protection
- Every card payment requires cardholder authentication via 3-D Secure (Visa Secure, Mastercard Identity Check, SMS/OTP for UzCard and Humo). A payment without successful authentication is declined.
- Card details are entered only on the bank’s page and are never transmitted to or stored by gouzbekistan.com. We do not store card numbers, expiry dates or CVV/CVC codes.
- The connection between your browser and our website is protected by TLS (HTTPS).
4. Fraud risk control
Under the internet-acquiring agreement with the bank, GoUzbekistan applies the following measures together with JSC “Uzum Bank”:
- Mandatory 3-D Secure authentication for all card payments.
- Bank-defined limits on transaction amount and number of transactions per period, as provided by the internet-acquiring agreement.
- Monitoring of orders and payments for fraud indicators using the bank’s anti-fraud tools; suspicious payments are held for review.
- Verification of the booking against the traveller’s details: the payer is asked to confirm the booking by e-mail or phone for high-value or unusual orders, and the traveller’s passport is checked at check-in.
- Declining the payment, cancelling the order and refunding the money if signs of unauthorised card use are found.
- Prompt notification of and cooperation with the bank’s security service on suspicious or disputed transactions.
- Restricted staff access to payment information and keeping of transaction logs.
5. Refunds
- Send a cancellation or refund request to info@gouzbekistan.com stating the booking number and the payer’s name.
- We calculate the refund under the cancellation conditions in your booking confirmation and reply within 3 working days.
- The refund is made to the same card that was used for payment, in the same currency (UZS). Refunds to another card or in cash are not possible.
- We send the refund to the bank within 5 working days of approval. Crediting to the card depends on the issuing bank and usually takes up to 30 calendar days. Because of exchange-rate differences, the amount in your card currency may differ from the original charge.
6. Advice for cardholders
- Never share your card number, CVV/CVC code or one-time SMS codes — neither GoUzbekistan nor the bank will ask for them.
- Make sure the payment page address starts with https:// and belongs to the bank.
- If you see a payment you did not make, contact your bank and us immediately.
