How Much Does a Trip to Uzbekistan Cost?
A week in Uzbekistan costs less than most destinations with this much history. Here is what our travellers actually pay in 2026, based on the prices of our own tours.
Uzbekistan tour prices in 2026
- 3-day Samarkand tour: from US$1,245 per person. See the tour.
- 5 days (Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara by train): from US$1,600. See the tour.
- 7–8 days, classic Silk Road with Khiva: about US$1,550–1,900. See a 7-day tour.
- 10 days with Shakhrisabz and a yurt camp: from US$2,100. See the tour.
- Islamic heritage and ziyarat tours (8 days): from US$1,000.
- VIP tours with 5-star hotels: from about US$3,500.
Prices are per person and usually include hotels with breakfast, transfers and transport between cities, licensed guides and entrance tickets, as listed in each program. International flights are not included.
What changes the price
- Season: April–May and September–October are the most expensive. Winter is noticeably cheaper.
- Hotels: boutique hotels in old madrasahs and 5-star hotels cost more than comfortable 3–4 star options.
- Group size: the price per person falls for 4 or more travellers sharing a car and guide.
- Transport: the Afrosiyob high-speed train is fast and affordable. A domestic flight to Urgench saves a day when you add Khiva.
Is Uzbekistan expensive to travel?
No. Local food, taxis and museum tickets are inexpensive by European standards. The biggest costs are hotels in high season and private guides. Travelling independently is possible, but a tour saves time on trains, registration and finding good guides.
