The President reviewed the presentation of new tourism projects in Tashkent and along the Charvak River.

On Monday, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed presentations of tourism and construction projects during a video conference.
The Head of State emphasized that thanks to Uzbekistan’s rich history, culture, and unique nature, the number of tourists can be increased by 2–3 times.

One of the promising locations for tourism development is the “Charvak Darvozasi” complex in the Bostanlyk district. In December last year, the President inspected the construction process, and the first stage of the project has recently been completed. The complex includes 16 apartment buildings, 3 hotels, commercial and service facilities, cafes and restaurants, a bank office, and a parking lot. Solar panels will be installed on the rooftops.

During the presentation, further stages of the complex’s development and measures to enhance its tourism appeal were introduced. It was also proposed to build a small hydroelectric power plant on the Chirchik River to provide the complex with affordable and environmentally friendly electricity.

Another project is the construction of an oceanarium in the Yashnabad district of the capital. The new tourist attraction will occupy 20 hectares on the banks of the Chirchik River. A nearby commercial and hotel complex is planned, which will create 1,600 new jobs.

In addition, in the Yakkasaray district, a residential and business complex is planned, including multi-storey buildings, kindergartens, schools, sports and wellness centers, a hotel, and office spaces.

The President stressed the need to carefully consider legal, financial, and infrastructure aspects of the projects and instructed to develop a clear action plan. Responsible officials were tasked with defining deadlines, quality requirements, and ensuring strict implementation control.

The successful implementation of these projects will stimulate regional development, generate new jobs, and significantly boost Uzbekistan's international investment appeal.
