At a meeting held on Wednesday to discuss enhancing the tourism potential of the regions, the head of state noted that many local governors still fail to realize how important tourism is as a strategic direction.
“Although the tourist season began more than a month ago, capsule hotels have only been launched in Kitab. Meanwhile, the governors of the remaining 35 districts and cities remain ‘asleep’,” said the President.
The head of state also added that up to 10 million soums in subsidies will be allocated from the Tourism Fund for the construction and equipping of capsule hotels.
In addition, Shavkat Mirziyoyev pointed out tourists’ dissatisfaction with the condition of both main and internal roads passing through Khorezm, Bukhara, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya.
Responsible officials have been instructed to calculate the costs and begin repair work on the roads included in the "tourism ring".
????The President emphasized the need for immediate, practical steps by local authorities to improve tourism infrastructure and services, including road repair and development of modern accommodation like capsule hotels.
